I have suffered for several years with facial pain, teeth hurting, ears popping, and muscle pain in my neck. I had consulted several doctors and dentists who tried everything from medications to dental work and appliances so I couldn't grind my teeth. I was beginning to think I would have to live on a soft diet and in pain forever. Then my ENT referred me to Dr. Gorman after ruling out sinus problems. I was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea and attempted to use the C-PAP machine for several months and not simply could not tolerate it. After trying available products I decided that there must be a more comfortable and better way to reliably keep from sleeping on my back. Dr. Gorman offered a truly unique solution. He recommended a mouthpiece appliance that I could wear at night. Since I began wearing the mouthpiece I have experienced dramatic improvement on all of my problems. As time passes we tend to forget the bad and remember the good, but were you to ask my wife she could tell you about the sleepless nights due to my snoring and the worry she had when I momentarily stopped breathing. Most of the problems seem to be behind me and are at least manageable. The intermittent breathing problems are gone along with the associated daytime fatigue. I recommend to anyone who is diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea to schedule an appointment and see Dr. Gorman. Personally, I wish I had discovered his services sooner and the oral dental appliance which I now use. Although I live quite a distance from Encino, I have zero reservations about driving 30 miles to visit Dr. Gorman. The 1½ hour trip is well worth the effort - especially since I'm now getting quality, sound, restful sleep.
